Under each content page in Canvas you typically find a practice quiz and the mandatory reading/watching linked directly in the course overview, see the picture below from another course (so don't wonder why you can't see this part here). In the picture, "Privacy and Data Protection" is the main content page, and below (slightly indented) you find a link to the mandatory reading ("Court of Justice...") followed by a quiz (note the different icons). This structure is to emphasis the mandatory reading, which is at times also linked in the content page.
